ABOUT

ABOUT

With a full and diverse development slate, PAGEBOY aims to continue making projects that champion underrepresented voices and prove that telling those stories is not only socially responsible, but financially viable. Collaborating on projects with names like Jen Statsky, Story Syndicate, Larry David, Lilly Wachowski, Pamela Adlon, Sterlin Harjo, and Our Lady J, PAGEBOY is on track to deliver content to screens around the globe that meet at the intersections of authenticity and commerciality, making for original and impactful entertainment experiences.

MISSION

PAGEBOY Productions endeavors to develop and produce entertaining, original, commercial and socially responsible stories. PAGEBOY will pursue storytelling that prioritizes safety, representation, and intersectional equity in all facets of making film and television; we believe that making quality art by and for intentionally marginalized voices is necessary to dismantle and redistribute power balances – within entertainment institutions and broader systems of oppression – and to push the boundaries of what we think subversive storytelling and representation can be and achieve.

THE TEAM

ELLIOT PAGE

FOUNDER

Elliot Page is an Academy Award®-nominated actor, a director, a producer, a writer, and a New York Times bestselling author known for his indelible on-screen presence in both tentpole and art house films. His love for storytelling and passion for social justice has taken him behind the camera as a producer and documentary filmmaker whose work answers the call to action of a generation. A tireless champion of the under-represented, Elliot uses his global platform to shed light on important social and LGBTQ+ issues. Elliot’s work and advocacy are motivated and informed by the urgency of global issues which impact the most marginalized among us.

On the big screen, Elliot developed, produced, and starred in the independent 2017 drama, MY DAYS OF MERCY opposite Kate Mara. In 2015, he produced and starred in Peter Sollett’s FREEHELD opposite Julianne Moore, Michael Shannon and Steve Carrell. Elliot also developed, produced and starred in Patricia Rozema’s post-apocalyptic drama INTO THE FOREST (from the novel of the same name by Jean Hegland) opposite Evan Rachel Wood. In 2010, he starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Christopher Nolan’s Academy Award®-winning sci-fi thriller INCEPTION. Elliot received an Academy Award® nomination for best actress in Jason Reitman's beloved comedy JUNO, as well as nominations from BAFTA, the Golden Globes and SAG. For his breakout performance, Elliot won an Independent Spirit Award, MTV Movie Award and Teen Choice Award.

Elliot also created and produced the ground-breaking, two-time Emmy Award®-nominated documentary series GAYCATION, executive produced by Spike Jonze and Shane Smith for VICELAND. The series follows Elliot and Ian Daniel as they explore LGBTQ+ culture, and the often-harsh realities facing queer communities across the world. Off-screen, Elliot’s critically acclaimed debut book, a memoir entitled PAGEBOY, was published around the world in June 2023. The book became an instant bestseller, debuting at #1 atop The New York Times’ Bestseller List and receiving widespread positive reviews. Full of behind-the-scenes details and intimate interrogations on sex, love, trauma, and Hollywood, PAGEBOY is the story of a life pushed to the brink. But at its core, this beautifully written, winding journey of what it means to untangle ourselves from the expectations of others is an ode to stepping into who we truly are with defiance, strength, and joy.
